Movies about sorry - source kids are nothing new — there ’s an entire horror subgenre devoted to them . But Netflix ’s Little Evil actually brings something new to the table by being a horror comedy , and it one - ups motion picture like Problem Child by suggesting the menacing moppet at its center might be the Antichrist .
The cast is also very auspicious , with Adam Scott star as the newfangled stepdad to Evangeline Lilly ’s minacious six - six - six - year - one-time . Supporting doer include Donald Faison ( Scrubs ) , Bridget Everett ( Inside Amy Schumer ) , and Clancy Brown , who is hopefully playing Satan . And another peak in Little Evil ’s favor : it ’ll be written and directed by Eli Craig , whose credits include another very risible and original repugnance clowning , Tucker and Dale vs. Evil .
Little Evil is set to begin production next week ; depend for it next year on Netflix .
