According to the GoFundMe campaign launched in the wake of the accident, Priley’s family has flown out to New York City to be with him, sharing that he is “getting the best possible care we can access for him.”
“Anyone who knows Jacob knows what an extraordinary person he is; let’s show up for him the way he would show up for us,” the fundraiser, which has raised over $77,000 as of Monday afternoon, added.
The family said in an update on Sunday that his medical team was working to reduce pressure in his brain and that there had been “some good early indications this morning as his vitals remain stable and the pressure has diminished a bit.”
“Jacob’s family is extraordinarily grateful for the outpouring of support so far,” the organizer continued. “It shows how far Jacob’s community of friends and supporters extends, and it makes going through this horrible trauma a lot less lonely.”
