We had the opportunity to catch up with Caprica actor Esai Morales and Magda Apanowicz , plus executive producer David Eick at the 2010 Syfy Upfront . Morales affirm the dubiety of the show ’s renewal and discourse the danger before for the mould .

The great way that human beings as a species can identify with each other , and it ’s become , pitiful to say , The Great Appetizer . If I ’m kick the bucket to advertise , I might as well be open about it . I do n’t want to do television system shows where it ’s really about silly things that are just there to pump products and commercials . I care that the show make you think , and it sell idea . It sell questions . It sell perspectives . Do you believe in one Supreme Being or many or none ? There ’s no good or bad – there ’s just or bad deed . As they say in the Bible , God loves the sinner , not the sin . [ … ] I do n’t understand how fundamentalists , whether STO or otherwise can want to kill , exterminate people who have not “ develop ” to their level of understanding or maybe evolved past tense . That ’s what I wish . This show makes you cerebrate . If you want to scratch the surface , you ’ll get something more than backdrop .
Next , David Eick filled us in on some cameo appearances by the residue of the Twelve Colonies .
There ’s decidedly more of the colonies – you ’ll see Gemenon and you ’ll see more of Tauron .
He then elaborated on how the show ’s stem is used an Easter eggs :

Lacy , she come from a very literal place – all she ’s endeavor to do is the right thing . She just observe not being given these chances [ … ] she keep getting these really hard decisions and none of them are good choice , so what she basically has to determine is what ’s the lesser of all iniquity . So that ’s where the fight happens , she keep making these really sorry decision that snowball . It changes Lacy ; it takes her to a whole completely different spot at the end of the time of year . Everyone will be surprised .
What are the most trying facial expression of the show for Apanowicz ? learn to ride a motorcycle ( natch ! ) and talking to invisible Cylons :
Riding a motorcycle , that was really unmanageable . They ’re like , “ So do you have a motorcycle license ? ” And I ’m like , “ No , but I can go get one ! ” And then I study how to mount a motorcycle in a calendar month . And I learned to ride with a giving dude on the back of my bike who had never ridden on the back of a cycle before , which was extremely unmanageable . I have in mind , let the cat out of the bag to Cylons that are n’t there was a very big challenge which was my favorite part . You have this really long pole which is the elevation of a Cylon – it has low-spirited dots where the eyes and the neck and the stomach should be and you just have to look at it [ … ] And then they have a separate one for when you ’re baby-sit – it ’s shorter . You ’re like , “ I ca n’t expect to see this onscreen ! ”
