In the footage we saw we were usher in to Dawson ’s character and her young Word , who have move into the mansion , as they look over plan of the reason which reveal a orphic hidden elbow room . I got some Casper and Jumanji vibes with the fun mystery house moments that led to the find of the secret sitting room , which raise the energy of those iconic horror and dangerous undertaking gateway gem . It really jell the tone of how the mansion ’s problems might rest beyond fix a pipe or two … like regions beyond .
The presentation leaned in on how the film will highlight the Easter eggs for Disney fans , with lots of cameos from the likes of Winona Ryder ( Stranger Things ) and Dan Levy ( Schitt ’s Creek ) , and ended with the Doom Buggy reveal that horror female monarch Jamie Lee Curtis will depict Madame Leota , the iconic unbodied psychic headland inside a crystal clump .

All exciting announcements apart , I was emphatically hoping to see more spooky encampment and learn more about the category the film is position to center on on . We dumbfound some recital from DeVito ’s fiber who shared that the mansion simply seem “ fully work up ” after a fire in 1788 and quickly gained opprobrium as a hub for the strange and supernatural with a string of tragical events . The Haunted Mansion basically has a tome of ideas behind it and mythology for its various inhabitants , so I get the sense that this picture show will have the characters sail the various tales fans trust to see while zeroing in on the ride ’s icons . Yes , there ’s a facial expression at the reflexion of the Hatbox Ghost , who Simien note TikTok claimsJared Leto will be playing(note : he did n’t refute the rumor ) . We also beget a glance of Constance Hatchaway , the Black Widow Bride who dwell the planetary house ’s attic . Stanfield is set to play a tour of duty guide that may finish up moonlight as a paranormal investigator as he start to unravel the mansion ’s many mysteries . A jerky deadly endeavor , methinks .
The Haunted Mansion is due in 2023 .
