The trailer for The Mandalorian season twois finally hereand it ’s about damn time . It’san larger-than-life trailerthat gives us a fantastic tease of what ’s to amount , while also revealing almost nothing about what is actually happening in a galaxy far , far , away .
So , to meet in some of the blank shell the trailer conveniently , purposefully , leaves out , we want to recap all the news we ’ve heard up until now . Here ’s everything we ’ve learned , or think we ’ve learned , aboutThe Mandalorianseason two since the end of time of year one .

The Official
There is n’t “ a lot ” in terms of prescribed news — Lucasfilm tries to keep thing close to the vest — but there ’s some . We know that show return to Disney+ onOctober 30 . It ’ll once again be eight episodes ( meaning we ’re likely to get the full season before the year is out ) , thoughnot every sequence willbe the same duration . There will be more new character ( more on that below ) , more planets , more of a galactic flavor , and not all episodes will solely focus on the Mandalorian and the Child .
Things will pick up passably much right after the first season ended , with Mando ( aka Din Djarin ) and the Child ( aka Baby Yoda ) setting off to envision out their station in the world . As expect , they ’ll be pursued by Darksaber - wielder Moff Gideon , whose human relationship with Mando is likely to shift . ( And hewill be using that Darksabera mickle . )

Very little in the direction of specific . There is some Gamorrean fighting ( whichFavreau teased last year ) and a mysterious new character played by WWE superstar Sasha Banks . The Rumors
Most of the biggest rumor regarding what may happen in time of year two of The Mandalorian have to do with casting . The juiciest one is that Rosario Dawson isjoining the show as formerJedi apprentice turned Rebel badass Ahsoka Tano , which would be the first sentence we ’d see the Dave Filoni - George Lucas character in live action . If that ’s genuine , she ’d be a type who knew the importance of the kid and could aid the Mandalorian in his seeking . She ’s also get awhole lot of her own tarradiddle will to recount .
Another exciting rumor has to do with a fellow H.M.S. Bounty hunting watch in Mandalorian armour . We think Temura Morrison , who played the footing for the Clone Army Jango Fett , could be join the showas none other than former Sarlacc resident , Boba Fett . Since Boba Fett is literally a genetic clone of Jango , really , Morrison is the only actor for the job . The question though is , “ Wait , is n’t Boba freaking dead?”We’ll have to see .
But wait , there ’s more . Prior to The Mandalorian ’s first season , whenlast fans picture the Darksaber , it was in the deal of Bo - Katan Kryze , voiced by Katee Sackhoff on The Clone Wars and Rebels . Well , since she no longer has it , it seems likely she may need it back . Rumor is Sackhoff could recapitulate her part character in bouncy - action here . This shake off rumor , out of all of them , makes the most sense . The storyline has already been well seeded .
Oh , and it ’s also potential Morrison will pull double duty and play Captain Rex , bringing Dave Filoni ’s Clone War dream full circle . But , again , that’sonly a hearsay .

Those might be the large lineament names in term of rumors , but they ’re only the commencement . Actor Timothy Olyphant is also , supposedly , joining the show , in a minor role from the novelsas a type name Cobb Vanth . Vanth expend an previous stage set of Mandalorian armor he launch on Tatooine ( hmm , was n’t the Sarlacc Pit on Tatooine ? ) to drum up peace and justice in a nearby settlement . Only , he ’s not Mandalorian , he ’s just posing . If Olyphant is indeed toy that function , maybe he ’d cross paths with any phone number of amplitude hunting Mandalorians — and they probably would n’t be too felicitous with him . Again , just a rumor , but an intriguing and fascinating one .
Finally , the last big casting rumor : Michael Biehn , co - star of Aliens and Terminator , is apparently joining in an unspecified function .
Mandalorian cast member Gina Carano recently tell that “ Some of them are true , some are not honest ” in regards to the be sick rumors , so time will recount if she ’s being honest or not . Either mode , all of these characters somehow vaguely set into a story that mistily match into the statements we know officially . We just need the gum to put it all together .
Season 3?
The last unofficial , but very likely , thing to know about time of year two of The Mandalorian is it ’s unlikely to be the remnant of the serial . While the covid-19 pandemic has certainly made forcible production of subject matter more difficult , credible sources say season threeis already in development . This have in mind that whether all this is true or not , more Mando is probably on the fashion .
