We ’ve suffered through two President Garfield , three godawful Alvin & the Chipmunks flicks , Yogi Bear , and other horrible 3D CG picture show remakes of classic cartoon . But the whole irritating phenomenon may be save by this news program that Disney is making a young Chip & Dale : Rescue Rangers movie .
Most kids of the recent ’ 80s in all probability remember the show fondly , as part of a shockingly good block of Disney animation which also included DuckTales , TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck . Rescue Rangers had Chip and Dale — apologise me , Chip ‘ n Dale — running a detective delegacy for small animal , with assistance from their quick-tempered Australian mouse adventurer Monterey Jack , and Gadget , the squad ’s pilot , mechanic , inventor , and genius .
The Hollywood Reportersays that commercial theatre director Robert Rugen is writing the script , which is n’t exactly inspiring , but the motion picture will be produced by Mandeville Films , the society that also made the last Muppets movie for Disney , so here ’s hoping they can bring in some of that magic to Rangers .
