Though Oldman tends to keep things quite tame on the red carpet, he is no stranger toundergoing intense style transformationsfor roles.

Though it did not require an intense transformation, one of his most iconic roles was theHarry Potterfranchise’s Sirius Black, whichhe reflected on in December.

On Josh Horowitz’sHappy Sad Confusedpodcast, Oldman called his portrayal of the beloved character — whose iconic hair is about as long as his own is now — “mediocre.” He said, “Maybe if I had read the books like [Alan Rickman], if I had got ahead of the curve, if I had known what’s coming, I honestly think I would have played it differently.”
