With the release of Suicide Squad , chapter three of the DC Extended Universe is now in the volume . We now have another piece to the puzzle that started with Man of Steel , remain in Batman v Superman , and will go on next year in Wonder Woman and Justice League . Here are the biggest changes that Suicide Squad has made to the larger story of the DC Extended Universe .
Batman has everyone’s information
This is the boastful takeout from the entire film . After the Suicide Squad defeat the Enchantress , Amanda Waller meets with Bruce Wayne and give him all the information she has on metahumans , which includes both the Suicide Squad and a few other familiar faces who ’ll become phallus of the Justice League . Wayne also recite Waller that next time , they wo n’t need her team — he’ll have one . Justice League teaser !
Amanda Waller knows Bruce Wayne is Batman… maybe
In that final , mid - credit scene , it ’s heavy suggested that Waller knows Batman ’s secret identicalness . If she does , that will likely be an ace up her sleeve in a future movie .
Most of the Suicide Squad is back in jail
When it come to the big DC Extended Universe , this is the most disappointing thing about Suicide Squad . Most of the Squad penis , including Deadshot , Killer Croc , and Captain Boomerang , end up back in jail . They economize Waller , beat the Enchantress , and still ended up in good order where they started . One penis did get out , though …
Joker and Harley Quinn are on the loose
While Harley is put back in jailhouse after the film ’s finale , her puddin ’ Joker breaks her out at the very end of the movie . That means DC ’s most dastardly duo will be out in the wild when upcoming movies like Justice League occur . At the moment , they are n’t rumored to appear in JL , but there ’s a upright luck they ’ll be part of the upcoming Batman solo movie .
Batman has beef not just with Joker, but Deadshot too
Of course we know Batman and the Joker are recollective - prison term opponent ; we get a quick glimpse of that in Suicide Squad . But the more surprising fundamental interaction is between Batman and Deadshot . The Caped Crusader is responsible for for putting the assassin in jail — in front of his girl no less — and Deadshot need retaliation .
The Flash is fighting crime, and already has his suit
One of the biggest surprises in Suicide Squad was a cameo by Ezra Miller as the Flash . We recognize Zack Snyder direct the tantrum , in which the speedster captures Captain Boomerang . So when Justice League begins , the Flash will already be fully suited up and fighting offence on his own before becoming a fellow member of the team .
Midway City is the latest city to be destroyed by metahumans
Metropolis got the brunt of it in Man of Steel but now , a second city in the DC Extended Universe has been decimated . We did n’t see a lot of how the metropolis ’s population felt about this supernatural , superhuman occurrent but deal how Batman respond to the death of Metropolis , but chances are it ’s not going to collect metahumans as a whole any secure will .
The government is freaking out
Even before the Enchantress and her blood brother set about their apocalypse layer issue , the U.S. government was gross out out about metahumans . Would n’t you if you saw the kind of destruction in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman ? It ’s why they permit Amanda Waller put together the Suicide Squad in the first place . Well , even though they were successful , and Batman is couch together the Justice League , you have to think we have n’t get a line the last of the government ’s involvment in the existence of superheroes and supervillains . We never do .
The saga of the DC Extended Universe will be expanded on June 2 , 2017 , with Wonder Woman . However , that movie is place in the past times so the next clock time we ’ll visit this modern timeline is November 17 , 2017 , in Justice League .
