It’s hysterical,” Lyons said when asked about what went into styling the outfit.She went on to explain that the look “was not premeditated.” In fact, she didn’t even think about what she was going to wear until the morning of the reunion, selecting from clothes she “threw” into her bag. “I was like, I’ll figure something out later.”But, when a video ofLyons modeling the final ‘fit— also featuring a Saint Laurent blazer and tie and a sheer Thom Browne blouse — made its way onto social media, fans were enthralled.“I am just shocked and amazed at the attention it got. I didn’t realize it would be so controversial, it was not intentional. I’m also like, first of all, who cares? And second, this idea that I can’t wear them to a reunion or I was somehow a faux pas — who made the rules? Does anybody really want me to come out there in a full-length sparkly gown? Really? Also, what happened was during the pandemic, I moved all of my special dressy clothes down to storage because I don’t wear them as much. I was like, I’m just wearing button-downs and sweatpants.”She continues: “I think people associate me with a much more turned-up, turned-out version of fashion than I actually am. I love clothes, but there’s a pretty serious theme.
