Seth Rogenand SenatorTed Cruzdid not mince words on Twitter when it came to their differing political opinions.
Their disagreements erupted when the 38-year-old actor called Cruz, 50, a “fascist” after the Texas senator tweeted about PresidentJoe Biden’s decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord on Wednesday.
Biden’s move, Cruz tweeted, “indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans.”
Rogentweeted a reply,writing, “F— off you fascist,” to which Cruz called the actor’s response a “charming, civil, educated response,” and adding, “If you’re a rich, angry Hollywood celebrity, today’s Dems are the party for you. If you’re blue-collar, if you’re a union member, if you work in energy or manufacturing…not so much.”
In June 2017, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would cease all participation in the landmark 2015 agreement, which he described as being unfair to American businesses. The process to rejoin the accord will take 30 days.

Rogen and Cruz continued trading insults on Twitter for days. Their disagreement reached new heights on Thursday when Cruz responded to an MGM tweet asking followers about the first film they saw in theaters.
Cruz tweeted, “Fantasia. It was playing at a film revival. It scared me; I cried—I was 4. My mom had to take me out. Good times.”
On Friday, Rogenreplied, “Everyone who made that film would hate you.” A day later, Cruzwrote back, “They’re all dead. So I think we’re good. And Walt Disney was a Republican.”

Ina separate tweet, Rogen wrote, “All jokes aside,@tedcruzis a fascist piece of s—.”
Later on, Rogen protested the term “feud” for the back and forth between him and the senator,tweeting on Sunday, “This isn’t a Twitter “feud."@tedcruztried to overthrow our government. He inspired a deadly mob to storm the Capitol. And I think that deserves ridicule. So f— him.”
