Sophie Turneris claiming thatJoe Jonasis withholding their kids' passports, preventing them from joining their mother in England, according to a new lawsuit.
On Thursday, theGame of Thronesactress, 27, sued her estranged husband, 34, for allegedwrongful retention of the couple’s two kids: Willa, 3, and a daughter, identified in previous court docs as D., 14 months.
“On September 19, 2023, the Father’s Florida attorney confirmed that the Father will not return the passports to the Mother and will not consent for the children to return home to England,” the documents claim.

The statement noted that the two had a “cordial” meeting in New York, where Jonas understood that the former couple would work towards an “amicable co-parenting setup.”

“Less than 24 hours later, Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK. Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately," the statement said.

Turner’s complaint calls for the return of the children to England, with the actress' legal team asserting the alleged “wrongful retention” began on Sept. 20.
The mom of two claims that she and the musician agreed to declare England their “forever home” in conversations that took place over Christmas 2022.
The couple then sold their Miami home and were in the process of buying a new residence in the English countryside in April, the documents allege, when Turner began filming theJoanmini-series she worked on this past summer.

Jonas and Turnertied the knotin 2019 after nearly three years of dating. After Jonas filed for divorce on Sept. 5, each posted a joint statement to their social media accounts regarding the end of their four-year marriage.
“Statement from the two of us: ‘After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,’ ” they bothshared on Instagram.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,'" the statement concluded.
