TheWhat Not to Wearstars opened up about how they finally reconciled after a 10-year public feud following the release of his bookI Hate Everyone, Except You, in which he hinted at  tension between the two.

She told hostsHoda KotbandJenna Bush Hagerthat she ultimately thinks there was “justification” for what he said, but she had been “upset” that he had seemingly upended their public image as friends with his words.

“We handled fame a little bit differently,” she explained. “Clinton was maybe a little bit more mature about it than I was. I really found it very nerve-wracking. I felt like I was supposed to be ambitious and I didn’t know if it was a small window of opportunity. And he kind of got into it a little bit easier than I did.”

“So I don’t think that what he wrote was unjustified,” she continued. “What I was more upset about it was, if it was public, than the audiences who thought we were best friends — some even thought we were married — than that illusion was broken.”

“So when I saw the clickbait, I was hurt, I was definitely hurt. And it was hard to kind of reconcile that,” London said, though she eventually came around with some prompting from Kelly.

“So I reached out to Stacy and I was like, ‘Can we put this behind us? Let’s talk it out,’” he continued. “And we had a really emotional conversation. It was during the pandemic — sort of as the pandemic was ending. And we just talked through it all.”

London admitted that she “sobbed” her eyes out during their talk and that it was a healing experience for her.

“And I think part of that is what I said about evolution. When you grow up a bit — and we did grow up on television — there’s a lot of points of pride that I don’t think either of us were willing to talk to. I mean, I let it all hang out,” she said. “I told Clinton everything that made me sad, everything that hurt me, every way I thought I hurt him.”

With the pair’s friendship renewed, they announced onTODAY with Hoda and Jennathat they were going on tour and would talk about behind the scenes stories ofWhat Not to Wear.

“The big feud, we’ll go through that. We’ll do lots of audience participation, like if people want style advice or updated style advice,” Kelly said.

He said that they could also “talk forgiveness.” “If you don’t forgive, you’re only hurting yourself. It’s the only way to be in the moment. If you’re always holding onto a grudge, you’re not living in the present,” he said.

London added, “But one thing I want to say, and definitely about forgiveness, is if you don’t let go of it, the famous line is like it’s drinking poison expecting the other person to die. So do not hold on to grudges. Don’t do it. Find a way through.”
